Year 3 Camp

The Year 3 camp held at Aldinga, was packed full of adventure with a focus on learning about our First Nations Peoples’ culture. Students constructed a ‘wodli’ shelter, learnt about traditional aboriginal symbols and created artwork on boomerangs. A highlight for many students was wrapping a fish in clay, cooking it on the coals of the campfire and tasting it. They also enjoyed a walk to the beach and through the bush where they learnt about finding food and medicinal plants, as well as considering the impact of humans on our coastal areas.
