On Friday September 23rd , our SRC are hosting a walkathon for Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) ‘Walk My Way’ initiative. ALWS is an agency of the Lutheran Church of Australia. Their purpose is to reach out to people hurt by poverty, injustice and crisis. This year, all donations will go to educating refugee children in Africa – just $26 will educate a child in Africa for ONE whole year!
This initiative aligns with St Mark’s values of Love, Justice and Service – when our students ‘Walk My Way’, they are encouraged to empathize with people in developing countries who have a very different life to theirs. Students are encouraged to talk to friends and family to gain sponsorship to contribute to this important cause.
