Reconciliation Week

As part of NRW week, we have devoted assembly, chapel and classroom time to thinking about and discussing the celebrations and challenges of First Nations Australians. We explored how ‘voice’ can be heard through; song, music, dance, art and especially stories.  This use of ‘voice’ is particularly true for our First Nations Australians. We challenged students to think about how they can use their voice to positively impact the generations. We also decorated trees with red, black and yellow ties to symbolise our: connection with the Peramangk people; respect for their spiritual relationship with country and to the traditional custodians of the land on which St Mark’s is built.
